Welcome to my favorite fight of the night, Holly my girl vs Miesha the all time number 2 women at 135. Miesha has been getting screwed basically by the UFC kind of she’s been taking on the top 5 competition while Ronda’s fighting Brazilians who fights under -500 fights. Miesha has been beating the same women that Ronda beat except Cat. Tate on paper has a longer more experienced wrestling game then Holly and a better understanding of footwork than Ronda does. The question will be the cardio and wrestling of Tate and then the ability to close the distance safely on Holly patiently. Holly’s bottom line is the Wonderboy lane, stuff the takedown then land and move to set up the finish that will be presented. This is another big stage for another huge women’s bout that can change the landscape is in the co-main event. The breakdown below lets’s get this thing cracking.

Okay so like always there are multiple ways that this thing shakes out but the higher percentage ways this thing breaks for both fighters is what I will touch on. So starting with Miesha, Tate needs to be passionate to figure out Hollys timing and length. While doing that Miesha needs to be defensively safe what may look like running is what needs to happen if she gets hit too much or is unable to get away if Holly closes the gap on here. Once she does al that she needs to time the shot behind the entry of a jab or leg kick something safe without a huge risk. Get it to the ground and test that wrestling without dropping here wrestling ability to Hollys level play a strong wrestling game to get top position to ground and pound and the sub-Holly if she gets frantic trying to get back to the feet. Now for Holly its a lot different then my Ronda breakdown because I knew Ronda was going to rush in head up because she had zero wrestling and judo is based on a collar tie like clinch which is tough o with a strike that fires down the pipe and manages distance better than most of the high-level strikers in the UFC and in kickboxing for that matter. Now Holly needs to be patient as well just like she was in Austraila. Timing is everything she needs to find hers with the jab dotting Miesha up from the outside and dropping those leg kicks I love seeing her throw. If things get wild with Tate moving in on her to fast she loves throwing that sidekick to the body or her very slick feint 1 into a 2, 3, 2 will stun and keep Tate guessing when it comes to exchanging with her in the pocket as well as from the distance. The big question is stuffing that wrestling takedown something very different from the judo takedown. Holy has been working with Izzy Styles, Jon Jones, Greg Jackson, BJ Penn, Deigo Sanchez, etc are all helping her mainly her little brother Jon Jones to teach her quality MMA wrestling. Once the stuff is done she needs to do what Greg Jackson has been saying and what Robin Black is saying about new age strikers, she needs to make it not about the wrestling and play her game completely because she has the tools to stop whatever is happening basics always work on everything it about how good her basics are versus Tates and vice versa. The ending for Holly is not so different from Tates either she drops Miesha and pounds her out of catches her giving her the finish after lighting her up standing up. That’s how I see it there’s no beef here these ladies know what’s going to happen both are pros and both know that the next fight is against Ronda and that’s another huge pay day for both and conformation for each because people still doubt Holly and sleep on Miesha for some odd reasons. I have to roll with Holly, I have loved her since she got in the game at legacy. It made me happy to become the most successful combat athlete in MMA as all-time great women’s boxer and kickboxer and now UFC champion. So I wish both Tae and Holm the best and the chips will fall where they may of course.
